Climate and Packing Tips
While on tour casual dress is perfect, however as we do dine in some nice restaurants you may want dress smart casual for dinner. We do walk/hike so comfortable and cool clothing is recommended for this. Consider bringing clothes that protect from the sun (eg. coloured shirts and long sleeves). When packing, take into account the time of year you are travelling and the nights will be cooler. Please consider maximum luggage weight is 18kg plus a day pack/hand luggage.
6 weeks prior to your departure you will receive packing tips specific for your tour.
Kimberley Climate
Dry Season (May - October) In the dry season, south easterly breezes bring sunny days and cool nights. Temperatures can vary from 15-35 °C (59 °F to 95 °F) although some parts of the Kimberley can drop below 0 °C in the evening (32 °F) including Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles).
Wet Season (November - April) Wet season is also the hottest part of the year especially November before the rains break, when temperatures frequently reach well over 40 °C (104 °F) inland. The rainfall is unpredictable and heavy at times with high humidity in the air. Rainfall is a welcoming sight to help rejuvenate vegetation along with flora and fauna while bringing the waterfalls to life.
