After breakfast, we’ll depart Monkey Mia Resort for an immersive journey to Dirk Hartog Island, a rugged sanctuary teeming with natural wonders and historical significance. We’ll travel across to the Island by boat, enjoying the opportunity to see the Ocean’s ‘Big Five’ in their natural habitat. Upon arrival, we’ll visit the idyllic beach, much photographed beach of Turtle Bay, home to the endangered Loggerhead turtles, where they nest and breed annually, offering a rare glimpse into the ancient rhythms of nature and some of the rarest sightings in the world. We’ll continue to Cape Inscription, the historic landing site of the first European explorer, Dirk Hartog, in 1616, where we will have the opportunity to stand at this pivotal point in history, surrounded by sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. We’ll enjoy a picnic lunch, before travelling to the mesmerizing blowholes, the vibrant shark nursery and ascending Herold Heights for panoramic vistas, to witness the island's profound beauty.
