About us
Kimberley Outback Tours started in 2006 with Colin and Mietsie Fitzgerald before being bought by David and Alexandra Teakle in early 2023. After living in various places around the world and Australia, David and Alexandra took their young family on the trip of a lifetime around Australia. On the way, they visited Mount Hart Wilderness Lodge where Colin and Mietsie lived and managed Kimberley Outback Tours. Falling in love with the outback and the Kimberley, David and Alexandra wanted to show more people this amazing country. After a chance conversation with Colin, one thing lead to another and now, under new ownership, Kimberley Outback Tours continues its tradition of taking customers to Australia’s outback in comfort, small groups and with the best guides in the business.

We provide more than just sightseeing, but a truly educational experience with all tour directors and bus drivers able to discuss, natural features, history, wildlife, fauna and fauna, indigenous culture as well as modern industry.
Our guides and drivers have over 20 years of experience in the Kimberely and Northern Territory.
Safety comes first. Our guides will not push you into any hikes or activities that you are not comfortable with. Some hikes can be difficult for some so we try to manage our itinerary to ensure guests can complete hikes regardless of their physical ability.
